No. A scan with no detected threats means that no threat was found during the check. New or modified malware may still go undetected. You should therefore also consider where the file came from and any warnings in the scan result.
Blazelock checks files for viruses and other malware using selected scan engines from leading providers. These engines are regularly tested against known threats and threats currently in circulation. The scan can also flag potentially risky content, such as macros in documents.
Do not open or run the file. Review the findings and delete the file if you do not need it. If you have already opened or run the file, check your device with up-to-date antivirus software. The online virus scanner checks the uploaded file, not your entire device.
Blazelock’s Malware Scanning API lets you integrate file scanning into your application. Your application sends files to Blazelock and receives structured scan results. For asynchronous scans, Blazelock can send the result to your application via a webhook. This lets you check uploads before they are stored or processed further.
