Our story

Why Blazelock was created

We were looking for a solution that could check files for malware automatically, quickly, reliably, and at a reasonable cost. It also needed to be easy to integrate into existing applications. Among the offerings we looked at, that combination did not work for us. So we started building Blazelock.

It was important to us that developers and businesses should not have to build and maintain their own scanning infrastructure. They should be able to add malware protection where they need it, and then get back to their actual application.

Blazelock grew out of that idea. The ambition is still the same today: integration should stay straightforward, scans reliable, and costs economically sensible. That is the bar we hold Blazelock to in everyday use.

    We rely on scanning technologies from leading providers and regularly review how they perform in production. At the same time, we evaluate new solutions to continuously improve malware detection.

    We continuously develop Blazelock. We improve existing features and create new ways to protect files where they are processed and stored.

Developed and operated in Europe

We develop Blazelock in Germany and operate our scanning infrastructure ourselves in the European Union. When choosing our partners, we also prefer European providers.

Behind this is a deliberate decision for Europe as our location. For us, that also means explaining transparently how we process and protect your files.

Blazelock is based at the Denkwerk in Herford, North Rhine-Westphalia. The center for entrepreneurs and founders offers a modern working environment and space to exchange ideas with other companies and founders.
